THE RUN FOR A MILLION REQUIREMENTS – HORSE ENTRY REQUIREMENTS & BIOSECURITY PROTOCOL

ALL horses traveling to the Run For A Million must have a 7 day veterinary certificate of health inspection, INCLUDING HORSES WHO RESIDE WITHIN THE STATE OF NEVADA, including the following statement:

(CVI) VETERINARY HEALTH CERTIFICATE OF INSPECTION | STATEMENT REQUIRED FOR ALL HORSES
“I have examined all the animals identified on this certificate within seven (7) days of shipment date and have found them to be free from signs of Vesicular Stomatitis Virus (VSV). During the last fourteen (14) days, these animals have not been exposed to VSV nor located on a VSV confirmed or a VSV suspected premises.”

Any horse arriving without the proper health certificate (including the additional statement) will not be allowed on the premises, nor will the vet on site  be able to write a health certificate. Please check the following link www.equinediseasecc.org/alerts  prior to your departure from home for any additional information.  Thank you for your cooperation and safe travels!

Currently the state of Nevada is requiring all horses, cattle, swine, sheep, and goats from a state where Vesicular Stomatitis Virus (VSV) has been diagnosed, or visiting an infected state and then returning to Nevada, except those moving directly to slaughter, must be accompanied by a 7-day health certificate.

The stalls at the South Point Arena are permanent 10 x 10. ALL STALLS MUST BE ORDERED ONLINE | DEADLINE AUGUST 1, 2023. $25 LATE FEE, per stall, for all stalls ordered after this date. Stalls will be available starting at 8:00AM Friday, August 11, at a fee of $385 per stall/each stall includes 6 bags of white pine shavings and two rubber mats. Priority stall placement is given to event sponsors.  No refunds on stalls after deadlines. Move out Sunday, August 21 by 10:00AM. The South Point Event and Equestrian Center restricts the use of refrigerators in horse stalls. South Point Equestrian Center Rules/Fire Marshall Regulations specify that at no time should there be feed, bedding, tack, and/or grooming items stored in stall aisles. All these items MUST be stored in stalls. THIS IS A FIRE MARSHALL REGULATIONS AND ARE SUBJECT TO FINES IMPOSED BY SUCH! $100 FINE PER OCCURENCE.

DAMAGE
Individuals will be responsible for any physical damage inflicted to South Point Arena property and will reimburse the show management for such damage as it may be charged. All owners and exhibitors shall be responsible for any damage incurred by them, their agents or employees to stalls, buildings, and other properties on the show grounds and shall be billed accordingly.
