Exhibitor Information

The West Coast Reining Championships creates a new championship pathway for the ancillary Open, Non Pro, Novice Horse, Rookie, Green Reiner and Youth exhibitors who form the foundation of the reining industry.

Your Road to Las Vegas Starts at Home

WCRC brings together a network of Official WCRC Host Qualifying Events throughout the Western United States and Western Canada, giving exhibitors the opportunity to compete close to home, qualify through established regional events, and advance to an annual championship experience in Las Vegas.

The goal is simple: keep the path to championship competition accessible and economical while creating something truly special to qualify for.

How Do You Qualify?

  1. Find an Official WCRC Qualifying Event.Look for the Official WCRC Qualifying Event designation at participating regional reining events. Confirmed events are listed on the qualifying calendar.
  2. Enter the WCRC division with a corresponding NRHA division.WCRC qualifying divisions run concurrently with existing NRHA classes, so no additional run is required. The inaugural WCRC qualifier entry fee is $45 per division.
  3. Finish in the Top Five.Place in the Top Five, including ties for fifth, in your WCRC division and you are qualified for Las Vegas. A zero or no-score does not qualify.
  4. Bring the horse of your choice to Las Vegas.Qualification is earned by the rider, not the horse. You do not have to compete at the WCRC Championship on the same horse you used to qualify. Once qualified, riders can compete on up to three horses per division, based on NRHA rules.

Riders must qualify separately for each WCRC division they wish to compete in. Once qualified in a division, an exhibitor may continue entering WCRC qualifiers to qualify in additional divisions.
